April marked a major milestone for VitrX as we celebrate 15 years in business. Since 2011, we have grown from a specialist IT reseller into a global solutions provider, continuously evolving to meet the changing needs of our clients.
From day one, our focus has been simple: deliver value, build long-term partnerships, and do things the right way. That approach has shaped everything we do and remains at the core of our business today.
That vision was set by our founder and CEO, Vince O’Hanlon, whose 40 years in the IT and asset finance industries highlighted a clear gap in the market. He saw an opportunity to create a business that would bring greater transparency to IT procurement, ensuring clients paid the right price while protecting long-term value. Just as importantly, he wanted to build a company rooted in trust, experience and a strong service ethic. Those principles continue to guide VitrX as we grow.
Over the past 15 years, VitrX has expanded significantly in both scale and capability. What began as a procurement-focused business has developed into a full-service IT partner, supporting organisations with everything from hardware and logistics to infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions. This growth has been driven by deep industry expertise, strong vendor relationships, and a team committed to delivering consistently high standards of service.
One of the things we are most proud of is the strength of our relationships. Many of our client partnerships span decades, reflecting the trust we have built and our commitment to delivering long-term value. At the same time, we have continued to grow our network, working with leading technology vendors including Apple, Dell, Microsoft, Lenovo and HP to provide end-to-end solutions across a wide range of industries.
As we mark this anniversary, we are also entering an exciting new phase of growth. This March, VitrX completed its first acquisition, welcoming Wentworth Computer Holdings into the group. Founded in 1985, Wentworth brings a wealth of experience and a strong reputation across sectors including financial services, pharmaceuticals, legal and entertainment.
This acquisition represents a natural step forward for VitrX. Both businesses share a common culture and a focus on long-term relationships, making this a strong strategic fit. Together, we are strengthening our capabilities across infrastructure, cloud and cybersecurity, while expanding our technical expertise and service offering.
Fifteen years on, VitrX has grown into a mature, forward-thinking organisation, but our mindset remains the same. We continue to focus on delivering value, staying agile, and supporting our clients as their needs evolve.
